Status A. Katie Status? Um, I guess I'm single, have too many cats, don't have enough time to ride my knothead, need to promote my book and still earn an honest living. About Me People say I'm: All of the below...lol. I think people like me, I currently work in the automotive sales industry (I photograph cars for dealerships for their websites) and I get lots of smiles, hugs, waves, people seem to like talking to me. Describe Yourself: Just a simple girl who works hard and is good at what she does, wants to write full time someday. Passionate about horses, learning from and teaching them, passionate about writing and can be very anal about the quality. My first book was published April of 2012 as an e-book. I was horrified by the mistakes that came through during the transition. Now that I know what to look for, book 2 shall be better On Gather, I'm Looking For ...: Other writers to talk to, share things with, discuss what publisher or that agent, who knows who and who knows the things I don't know. Who knows, maybe someone can learn something from me. Interests Lately I've been listening to: Any station that plays something I like I'm currently reading: 50 Shades of Grey. Haven't gotten very far though The last movie I watched was: Can't remember. Been too busy My must-see show is: Criminal Minds...House I'd love to visit: England, Ireland, Japan, Australia I'm curious about: Why my cat sits and stares at me through slitted eyes as I sit at the computer. Just as she's doing Topping my Wish List is: My cats to get along and my books to be a success Favorite Music, Artists, Genres: Classic Rock: The Stones, Pink Floyd, Def Leppard, Lynrd Skynrd, Guns n Roses, even White Snake. Learning to appreciate Depeche Mode, adore Coldplay, now finding much to appreciate in Pink, thinks Sheryl Crowe and Kelly Clarkson aren't too bad. I don't think I can listen to Adele, though Favorite Books, Writers, Genres: List of favorite writers: King is the King, Mr. Stephen King. Been a fan of his since high school. Love Dick Francis. Also been a fan since high school. He wrote well when he was alive, and also about horses. Love the old David Eddings, despise his new stuff. Love Tami Hoag, but she's getting sloppy. I'm not allowed to be sloppy. Are you allowed to be sloppy? I didn't think so. King is sloppy, too, by the by. Think Robert Jordan is da man, followed closely on the heels by George RR Martin. Still waiting for that next book, dude, hello? Favorite Movies, Actors, Genres: Love action movies, Lord of the Rings, of course. Love most everything except chick flicks, though I did love "Must Love Dogs" with John Cusak. The dialogue was excellent and John is a hottie. Favorite TV Shows, Actors: Criminal Minds...House. Enough said Favorite Places: My home state of Colorado, to the place we call Bruce's Meadow. Where we scattered the ashes of our brother who died in May 0f 2007. And...most every place in Colorado, for that matter Interests and Activities: Writing, Horses, Photography...I love to teach my horse funky things like walking through a figure 8 around barrels with just pointing my finger. We're getting better. He loves the cookies he gets for doing it. I love to trailride, camp, sit around a fire on a cold night with beer and good friends, read a good book, watch Uma Thurman kick butt with a Japanese sword. Pet my cats, smooch my horses, eye hunky guys in cowboys hats and figure out my next plot line as I photograph a Subaru Wish List: I wish for my books to be a success and my cats to all get along. I have a family that's somewhat hostile to one another.
